Accessible PDF conversion
In adherence with AODA (Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act) and other regulations, Bitnut can make your PDFs accessible and WCAG 2.0 compliant.
How is the PDF document made accessible?
The document is tagged, headers defined, tables and lists are properly tagged, image alt descriptions added, reading order is corrected, and other anomolies are rectified, and then the pdf is tested to ensure it's accessible. A report will be provided that indicates the PDF passed all accessibility criteria.
Note: Be wary of automatic solutions. For most PDF documents it's not feasible to make them fully accessible without manual effort.
How long does it take?
It will depend on the total number of pages but smaller documents can usually be turned around in 24 hours or less.
What type of documents are accepted?
In addition to PDF, you can also provide the document in other formats such as Microsoft Word and Google Docs, which can then be converted to an accessible PDF.
How much will it cost?
| # of pages | Price est.* |
|---|---|
| 1-24 | $9.50/page |
| 25+ | $7.50/page |
| 100+ | $6.50/page |
| 250+ | Request an estimate |
* Prices may vary depending on the complexity of the documents.
